Q: How much does it cost to hire a buyers agent?

A: Typically nothing!  In North Carolina 95% of the time sellers pay ALL of the commission.  So having a Buyers Agent who is hired to protect YOUR interests alone is absolutely in YOUR favor!!

Q: How did AVL Property Management Services start?

A: William (Nate) Thompson has been a property manager for 20 years and still owns over 15 rentals personally.  His experience over the years in flipping houses, managing rental property, buying foreclosures, commercial real estate and leasing, working with local contractors, and helping others do the same led him to open his own full service company.  While so many other agents only focus on the sale itself, Nate envisions a company where he can help his clients from start to finish utilizing his multi-faceted experience.

He and Jennifer Gregg joined forces to create AVL Property Management Services in early 2016.  Jennifer grew up in Asheville’s popular Montford district literally living and breathing property management from a very young age.  She currently manages over 40 units and knows the Asheville area and it’s people like no other!  Her invaluable experience and shared goals make AVL Property Management Services what it is today.

Q: How much does it cost to have AVL Property Management Services manage my rental property?

A: Typically, for a single family home rental you can expect to pay 10% of the collected rent plus an additional 15% for the first month as a leasing fee.  For larger investments that percentage is negotiable.  Our knowledge of the local market, as well as how to reach large numbers of potential renters and how to show property, will fetch the highest possible value. We know that we can pay for ourselves just by managing your property effectively!
